Domination is a 1 - 5 player strategy war game for the 8-bit Atari computer. Players compete to to be the richest superpower after a specified number of years or turns. All commands are via menu structures, and each turn is timed, giving players a time limit to enter commands. Gameplay occurs in three phases. In the event phase, either a recession occurs and player resources are limited, or a nuclear conflict occurs. If nuclear conflict occurs, the player can declare war against an opponent. The second phase is the asset phase, where the player can buy or sell factories, energy and gold. They can also divert resources to their army. Finally, in the domination phase, the player can choose to utilize diplomacy to try to gain power with a rival country, or can declare war to forcibly take their resources. When declaring war, the player allocates divisions to attack. and each division allocated provided 1 second of attack time, where the player enters an arcade sequence to shoot at enemy installations with a large cannon. If attacking successfully, the player gains resources from this nation yearly. The winner is the nation that has amassed the most resourced by endgame.
