Leapster

Overview

Leapster is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari.

Harry Leapster's quest is a simple one: to get to school on time. To do this, he must travel across town past houses, a missile base, a graveyard, and finally to school. Harry can move laterally and jump. On each screen, the player must collect a number of items that briefly appear as windows open and close. These can typically only be reached by jumping on top of moving vehicles, and then jumping for the item. Harry has limited time on each screen to collect enough items to move on to the next screen to the right, and he must avoid dangers including: cars, zombies, birds, arrows, balloons, missiles, troops, and more. Harry starts with 5 lives, and it's game over when all are lost.
