Overview
A-Go-Go, released by Williams Electronic Manufacturing Company on 25th May 1966, is a four-player electro-mechanical pinball machine with a dance and music theme. Designed by Norm Clark, the game features four flippers, three pop bumpers, two slingshots, four stand-up targets, and a kick-out hole. It was notably the first machine to feature a captive ball spinner, invented by designer Norm Clark.
The machine's vibrant modernistic artwork, created by Jerry Kelley, captures the energetic spirit of the 1960s music and dance scene. The artwork includes a self-portrait of Kelley as the man with the stylish beard.
With a production-run of 5,100 it ranks #4 of the most succesful pinball tables of the 1960's right behind Gaucho, Capersville and Ship-Mates. A significant number of "A-Go-Go" tables were exported to Germany.
