Overview
Future World is a solid-state pinball machine released in October 1978 by the Italian manufacturer Zaccaria. It is recognized as a "Generation 1" Zaccaria table and features a space-age theme centered on cosmic exploration.
It was the first Zaccaria table to support up to four players. A one-player version of the same playfield was released in 1979 under the name Space City, featuring different backglass art.
The playfield includes two flippers, pop bumpers, two kick-out holes, and a 5-bank of drop targets. Described as a "classic and simple" table, the primary objective involves hitting targets to accumulate points and end-of-ball bonuses.
Sound is generated directly by the driver board using a four-tone oscillator circuit, a hallmark of Zaccaria's early electronic efforts.
