Speakeasy (Playmatic)

Overview

Released by the Spanish manufacturer Playmatic in May 1977, Speakeasy is a four-player electro-mechanical pinball machine featuring a classic 1930s prohibition and gambling theme. Its most distinctive mechanical feature is a simulated slot machine integrated into the backbox, which animates to reveal bonuses or "jackpots" when specific targets are hit on the playfield.

Like many Playmatic games of the era, it is noted for its high durability due to a fiberglass resin playfield rather than traditional wood, and it was also released in a single-player version known as The 30's.
