Flicker

Overview

"Boomerang" and "Flicker" are two closely related electro-mechanical pinball machines released by Bally Manufacturing Co. in the mid-1970s.

"Boomerang," released in December 1974, is a four-player game with an Australian Aboriginal theme. It features a variety of gameplay elements, including two flippers, a pop bumper, slingshots, multiple standup targets, rollovers, and a spinning target. Designed by Jim Patla with artwork by Christian Marche, "Boomerang" had a production run of 2,585 units.

"Flicker," released in 1975, is the two-player version of "Boomerang." While it shares much of the same playfield design, it has different artwork, seemingly based around the comedy duo Laurel and Hardy, and a smaller production run of 1,585 units.
