Hang Glider

Overview

Hang Glider is a classic electro-mechanical (EM) pinball machine released by Bally Manufacturing Co. in December 1976, during the transition period between electro-mechanical and solid-state machines.

Designed by Jim Patla with artwork by Dick White, it is a four-player game themed around the popular 1970s hobby of hang gliding.

It is often compared to Gottlieb’s Surf Champ in terms of era and theme. It is considered rarer though, with 2,325 Hang Glider machines produced, compared to a production run of 10,070 for Surf Champ.
