Jacks Open

Overview

Jacks Open is a card game themed electro-mechanical pinball table designed by Ed Krynski and released by Gottlieb in 1977. It is highly regarded among collectors for its challenging card-themed gameplay and received a production run of 2,975 units.

Jacks Open focuses on skill-based shooting to complete card hands using a bank of 9 drop targets. Players must knock them down in progressive sequences: first two Jacks, then three Queens, then a full house (Kings/Queens), and finally a Royal Flush.

There is an add-a-ball version released as Lucky Hand in North America, and in Italy as Lucky Card. A 4-player solid-state version using the System 80A platform was released by Mylstar in 1984 titled Jacks To Open.
