Overview
Nautical lovers take note! Combine the fantastic Gottlieb period graphics from the late 1940's with a great nautical theme with many humorous details and you have a winning combination.
Barnacle Bill is a single-player woodrail pinball machine designed by Harry Mabs. It was released by D. Gottlieb & Co. in April 1948, and enjoyed a production run of 2,500 units.
The artwork by Roy Parker includes a likeness of Barnacle Bill and two mermaids on the playfield, and an intricately detailed sailor-themed backglass.
The machine boasts four flippers. This was still quite innovative for its time, as the concept of flippers was only just introduced to the pinball world a year prior.
