Catch the wave with Beach Bums, an original pinball table released in 2018. This table transports players to a sun-soaked beach paradise. Featuring colorful artwork, a groovy soundtrack, and engaging gameplay, it offers a laid-back yet exciting pinball experience. The table includes a surfboard ramp, a tiki hut kicker, and a Big Kahuna multiball mode, all set against a backdrop of crashing waves and palm trees. Beach Bums began life as an attempt by watacaractr to refurbish and re-theme his "Roy Clark, The Entertainer" real physical pinball table. The theme was based upon his favourite slot machine, IGT's "Catch-A-Wave". Unfotunately, after re-theming it, and putting it back together, the pinball table no longer worked.
Undeterred, watacaractr took his original artwork and theme ideas and used them to create his first digital table for Visual Pinball X, by modding BordDog's version of Hollywood Heat (Gottlieb 1986).
