Overview
Bally released Bow and Arrow in November 1975, designed by Greg Kmiec with artwork by Christian Marche. Embracing a Western Frontier and Native American theme popular in the 1960s and 1970s, the game stands as a classic electro-mechanical (EM) era machine. Bally produced a total of 7,630 units of the standard four-player EM version, alongside an exceptionally rare solid-state prototype run of just 17 units.
The layout features two flippers, four pop bumpers, two slingshots, six stand-up targets, two kick-out holes, two spinning targets, and two star rollovers. Gameplay centers heavily around building up and collecting end-of-ball bonuses. Players rack up steps through the spinning targets and can hit the ABCD stand-up targets to illuminate pop bumpers and score a double bonus. Hitting specific light sequences also opens the right ball return gate or awards skill shots
