Overview
The Oba Oba pinball machine, released in June 1979 by Taito do Brasil, is a solid-state table and a prominent example of the "cloning" era in Brazilian pinball history.
The playfield layout is nearly identical to Playboy, featuring 2 flippers, 5 drop targets, and 3 pop bumpers. While the rules and sounds are largely the same as the original, Oba Oba uses a standard rollover switch in the extra ball lane instead of the star rollover found on Playboy.
The artwork was completely reimagined. Instead of the Playboy brand, it is themed after the Oba Oba playhouse, a famous nightclub in Rio de Janeiro.
