Overview
Masquerade is a classic, 4-player electro-mechanical pinball machine released by D. Gottlieb & Co. in February 1966. Designed by Ed Krynski and featuring a vibrant Mardi Gras/costume party theme, it marks a major milestone as the very first Gottlieb game featuring artwork by Art Stenholm. Stenholm stepped in following the passing of Gottlieb's long-time legendary artist, Roy Parker.
It was also Gottlieb's third 4-player machine of the 1960s to feature an animated backbox. As you play, a mechanical fan lowers to unmask and reveal the "Belle of the Ball".
The machine was popular in European markets, particularly in Germany and France. A total of 3,662 units were manufactured.
