Overview
Released in April 1959 by D. Gottlieb & Co., Queen of Diamonds is a classic one-player, woodrail electromechanical pinball machine known for its charming, detailed artwork by Roy Parker and a challenging, wide-open playfield designed by Wayne Neyens. Only 1,700 units were produced.
Queen of Diamonds is noted for having no traditional outlanes, but instead, it features multiple drain lanes, placing a high premium on nudging skills. It features two flippers and three "gobble holes". A central mechanic is the backbox roto-target, which adds to the card-spotting theme and challenges players to light up specific sequences.
