Super Soccer

Overview

Super Soccer is a classic four-player electromechanical pinball machine released by D. Gottlieb & Co. in January 1975. Designed by the legendary Ed Krynski with artwork by Gordon Morison, it is celebrated for its unique soccer-ball bonus animation in the backglass.

As you earn bonus points, small red balls are "kicked" into a goal area behind the backglass to visually track your progress. These balls are counted down at the end of each ball in play to award points.

Gottlieb produced 7,130 units of Super Soccer. A two-player version of the same game, titled "Soccer", was also released in 1975 with 2,900 units produced.

Super Soccer is often compared to Gottlieb’s "300" (bowling-themed) because they share a nearly identical playfield layout and the same mechanical bonus-ball system in the backbox.
