Prodeus

Prodeus is a fast-paced first-person shooter based on the classic "boomer shooter" mechanics of titles like DOOM, but with modern rendering techniques, offering a choice between 2D sprites and full 3D models. Most of the game has the player character face large groups of enemies in tight corridors, but there are also larger, more open environments.

The game features a lot of gore and incorporates a dismemberment system based on the targeting, as well as a dynamic heavy metal soundtrack. The main campaign consists of several levels linked through an overworld map, with some freedom for the path. There is some gating based on a number of runes that need to be collected. Progression inside a level often involves finding keys and there are also various secrets.
