Raszyn 1809

Overview

The War of the Fifth Coalition against Napoleon's France have just begun. The Battle of Raszyn was fought on April 19, 1809 between the Polish army of Duchy of Warsaw (commanded by Prince Poniatowski) and the invading forces of Austrian Empire marching on Warsaw. Despite outnumbering the enemy 2 to 1, Austrian troops were defeated.

Raszyn 1809 is a turn-based tactical level strategy game for one or two players. You can command either Polish-Saxon or Austrian forces - infantry and cavalry, supported by artillery. Apart from the historical setup, fictional and random options are available. Player wins when the village is held until the evening (or when it's captured by troops - when playing the Austrian side).

The game comes with information about the historical background of the battle.
