The Keisatsukan: Shinjuku 24-ji

Overview

Police 911, called The Keisatsukan in Japan and Police 24/7 in Europe, is a series of light gun shooter arcade games. Konami released the first game in 2000.

Unlike earlier light gun games, the game was unique for its motion sensing technology, sensing body movement rather than requiring the player to move individual controls; the player's "real world" actions are reflected by the player character within the game. It also featured a unique cover system, where the player takes cover by physically ducking for cover rather than pressing a button

It casts the player as either a "one man SWAT team" working for the Tokyo police, or an American police officer of the LAPD, working to take down members of the Gokudo-kai an internationally based yakuza group.

Police 24/7 is a gun game with a difference. Rather than simply tapping a button to duck behind cover like in Time Crisis 2, you're supposed to dodge out of the firing line, by moving awkwardly to either side. Therefore, when you move, so does your guy on screen, changing the camera's perspective so enemy fire sails harmlessly past you, revealing hidden terrorists and thus enabling you to rattle off a clean shot.

You're the ones who crack the case!

As a police officer in the LAPD you must stop the illicit antics of a ruthless gang of Japanese organised criminals suspected of smuggling weapons.

Pursue the gangsters through the clubs, bars, restaurants and streets of little Tokyo, LA, you never know where they might lead you!.

Arrest gang members or take them out but don't forget to dodge their returning fire.

Do you have what's needed to take part in a dangerous, under-cover mission to eliminate their leader?
