Overview

Bombyx is a snake game where the player has to eat a certain amount of fruit to advance to the next level. Eating fruit causes the snake to grow longer, and the player has to avoid crashing into the body or any of the walls on the screen. There is a countdown that resets after a fruit has been eaten. If the player doesn't manage to eat another fruit before it runs out, the amount of fruit needed to complete the level increases. Once enough fruit has been gobbled, a hole opens up in the top wall that the snake can escape through. In addition to walls, there are bouncing balls that have to be avoided. The number of these depends on the difficulty level chosen, from none on the easiest level to twenty on the hardest. A life is lost when crashing into a wall, a bouncing ball or the snake's tail.
