St. Crippens

St. Crippens is a 1-player action game for the ZX Spectrum.

The player has just woken up to the awful truth, that having been involved in a minor accident, they have now been admitted to St. Crippens — the worst hospital in the world. The player must escape before becoming truly ill after a number of cases of people disappearing from the hospital. Having been given hospital pajamas, the player must sneak past the guards, nurses, porters, and even creatures from the Genetic Engineering Lab.

The player must navigate through multiple screens of the hospital, using the exit doors to move to different rooms. The player must avoid all the dangerous denizens of the hospital, losing 5% health every time they're caught. As the player is injured, they begin to limp, and then must use crutches, slowing them down. The goal is to collect all pieces of their civilian clothing and escape out the front door before they take 100% damage.
