Overview
Based upon the Battle of Saratoga during the American Revolutionary War in 1777. The player controls American forces against the British. The player controls units by moving them to a a different location. American forces are shown in white, while British forces are red and Hessian mercenaries are orange. Each set of units has a muster strength, which is maximum strength, and their actual combat strength. The player's score, and remaining American and British forces are displayed on the screen. The game consists of 48 turns from January 2nd - December 23rd. There are 8 different game types, which defines British and American troop strength. Player movement follows zones of control, preventing movement through enemy owned terrain. Combat occurs by moving a unit onto another opponent's location, and combat is effected by unit direction, terrain type, and unit strength.
