Daytona USA: GTX 2004

Daytona USA: GTX 2004 Edition is a notable, un-official RPG-style bootleg rom hack and upgrade kit for Sega's legendary 1994 Sega Model 2 arcade hardware. Programmed by modder Kyle Hodgetts and distributed by "The Game Room" around 2003–2004, it stands out as one of the very few complex code modifications ever successfully running on Sega's protected Model 2 hardware layout. The upgrade kit was originally sold to arcade operators for roughly $500 per seat to inject new life into aging Daytona cabinets.
