Lucky Strike (Williams)

Overview

Lucky Strike is a 1-player electro-mechanical pinball machine released by Williams in August 1965, designed by Norm Clark. It features a bowling theme with 2 flippers, a central roto-target, and a high-speed, skill-based playfield. Approximately 1,800 units were produced.

It was released alongside a sister machine called Bowl A Strike. Lucky Strike is the "replay" version (allowing players to win free games), while Bowl A Strike utilizes an "Add-A-Ball" mechanic for regions with strict anti-gambling laws.

The distinctive lower playfield layout was highly successful and was reused by Williams over a decade later in famous machines like Space Mission and Space Odyssey.
