Overview

Colors of War is a shareware, mouse controlled, strategy war game. The game has both single battle and campaign modes which are played out on a series of eight single screen maps. Each player has a randomly placed base and the object of the game is to acquire more territory than any other player. To do this the player selects tools / weapons from a menu bar at the top of the screen, these include Gatling guns, quanta energy beams, missiles, bombs, earthquakes as well as chompers that gobble up available free space and rejuvenation stations that give other weapons extra power. The weapons/tools have a limited lifespan and the range available in each game varies. The single battle game can be played with up to eight players, two human playing with the mouse & keyboard and six AI players. The AI opponents IQ and aggression levels can be adjusted. The campaign mode is a single player game which has three levels of difficulty and is played over eight maps. The registered game has a level editor.
