Overview

PES 2012 is a soccer game, primarily a refinement of the previous 2011 version - although it comes with the same gameplay and game modes as the last installment. The game is exclusively licensed by UEFA and CONMEBOL, to include the UEFA Champions League in Europe, and Copa Santander Libertadores in South America. It also includes official league licenses from Spain, Italy, France and Holland. It's notable the absence of the English and German leagues, except for Manchester United and Bayern Munich. There are also 33 independent teams, including CSKA Moscow, Boca Juniors, River Plate or Oporto. Player can choose between 60 national teams to play friendly matches or custom tournaments. PES 2012 offers a fast arcade gameplay in several game modes, such as Master League, Become a Legend or classic tournaments. Gameplay is more fluid, and goalkeepers have been improved in their performances. Defense lines have also been improved, with AI players making more intelligent movements and behaving in a more realistic way.
