Overview
1-2-3... is a rare electromechanical pinball machine released in 1973 by Automáticos, a company also documented under the name Talleres de Llobregat. The name of this pinball game and its artwork are based on a TV show called "Un, Dos, Tres ... Responda Otra Vez" which ran on Television Española from 1972 to 1994.
Produced during the golden era of Spanish pinball, this table showcases a European design philosophy distinct from the American pinball giants of the early 1970s. The playfield of the table stands out immediately due to its unorthodox arrangement of five tightly bunched-up pop bumpers positioned near the top of the board. Rather than sending the ball through traditional lane pathways, the plunger launches the ball directly into this chaotic cluster of bumpers, guaranteeing fast-paced action right from the start of each turn.
At the heart of the table's ruleset is a disciplined target system requiring sequence-based precision. A set of three central targets dictates the primary scoring workflow; players must hit these drop or stand-up targets in exact order from left to right. Failing to complete the combination in the correct sequence means missing out on top scores, and the entire sequence resets at the drain of every ball, challenging the player's fine flipper control.
Complementing the sequential target system is a progressive lighting engine designed to encourage consecutive plays. The upper 1-2-3 lights and the corresponding advancement bonuses (avances) persist across individual turns. Uniquely, these elements do not award immediate end-of-ball points; instead, they remain illuminated from ball to ball and even carry over between consecutive games until the player manages to light up the entire grid, unlocking the coveted "Special" light rewards.
