Squad Battles: Vietnam

Overview

Based essentially the entire Vietnam conflict, John Tiller's Squad Battles: Vietnam recounts the many battles between the U.S. Army, Marines, the North Vietnamese Army, and Viet Cong. There is no linked campaign, but rather 71 individual scenarios spanning 30 historical and hypothetical situations. Some battles involve only a single squad, while others many include numerous units and support vehicles such as armor, artillery, and helicopters.

This turn-based game is similar to Avalon Hill's Squad Leader board game, but is not a computer version of it. The scale is 40m per hex, and each turn lasts 5 minutes.

Multiplayer options include play-by-email, TCP/IP, and LAN. A scenario editor is also included.
