Overview
It's time to kill Chaos - Developed in cooperation between Square Enix and Team NINJA (Koei Tecmo Games), Stranger of Paradise Final Fantasy Origin is a hard-core action RPG that takes the Final Fantasy series in a new direction. Experience the boldest and most merciless battles in Final Fantasy history.
Jack and his allies, Ash and Jed, burn with the resolve to defeat Chaos as they throw open the gates to the Chaos Shrine. Yet doubts remain – are they truly the Warriors of Light the prophecy foretold? Step into a world of dark fantasy and revel in exhilarating action-packed battles.
Deep, varied combat
Dive into wildly different movesets based on equipped weapons to change combos, unlock new attacks via upgrades and add job specializations that help widen the skillsets of Jack and his cohorts.
In classic Final Fantasy fashion, HP, MP and potions must be carefully balanced with the limited-use soul shield ability to lessen incoming damage - all in real-time. In a new twist, resting at save points also brings back enemies for easy grinding and balancing risk/reward.
Extensive character customization
Each piece of equipment not only changes base stats, but helps add stylish dark fantasy flair. Equip multiple pieces in a set to not only complete the look, but deepen the stat bonuses available to your party.
Job-based skill trees help craft a party that support each other with abilities and special attacks that can offset weaknesses and bolster strengths; customize your party according to your play style.
Blades and spells at your fingertips
Though Team Ninja's expertise makes for nail-biting combat encounters, spells can be used in and out of combat.
Harness the power of the elements to clear obstacles and open new paths, hack through your environment to uncover new items and take advantage of enemy abilities. Rip these abilities away to use their own attacks against them for crowd control, to attack weaknesses and boost combo strings.
Memorable locales from other entries in the Final Fantasy series
• Pravoka Seagrot recalls Sastasha of Final Fantasy XIV. Beyond the cave's mystical landscape of vividly colored coral lies the pirates' hideout where their ship is anchored.
• Hallowed Massif recalls Mt. Gagazet of Final Fantasy X. Fierce blizzards and avalanches impede the progress of travelers, while graven figures sleep within the mountain.
• Other areas and battle music also draw inspiration from the main titles in the series, providing Final Fantasy fans with plenty of familiar tidbits to stoke nostalgia and make the game even more enjoyable.
