Saucer Formation

Saucer Formation is a 1-player arcade game for the 8-bit Atari created by and released in the SoftSide Magazine Issue #50 from November of 1982.

The player controls a small vessel that moves horizontally on the bottom of the screen and fires vertically. Enemy vessels move toward the bottom of the screen, firing towards the player, and then appears at the top again. When the player destroys the 3 enemy vessels, 3 new ships appear slightly larger, and require 1 more hit to destroy. If the player is hit by alien fire, they are destroyed. Three ships lost, and it's game over.
