A brand new interactive chiptune album by Electric Dragon; a Bulgarian alternative rock/nintendocore band. This cartridge is playable on the Nintendo Famicom (or NES with an adaptor), and comes styled after cassette tapes of old. Brought to you by Neodolphino Productions. ANOTHER WORLD - A NEW INTERACTIVE ALBUM FOR THE FAMICOM (Nintendo #8bit console) 50 limited copies, only for the hardcore #chiptune fans! Included are: 7 brand new pieces, 3 covers, 3 remakes, and more! You can buy the cartridge here: https://neodolphinoproductions.bigcartel.com/product/electric-dragon-another-world This is the result of combining Sparx's passion for music and programming. Not a gimmick! You can't play this album on anything other than a Famicom console! Best experienced on an old CRT TV. The game cartridge is stylized as an audio cassette tape as a throwback to the early 90's when Sparx would record videogame music on cassettes and play it back while playing with his Pro Wrestling toys. The gameplay: - choose a track from the main menu. The band will appear playing on stage. - move the frontman to avoid or catch falling objects (mostly tomatoes) If you get hit too many times, the frontman is knocked out, the music stops, and you must go back to the main menu. - press A and B to make DJ Guinness play a sample. If you play the samples to the beat of the music, you earn extra points. If you miss the beat, you lose points. The challenges of making this interactive album: - learning about the NES console hardware - learning NESASM assembly language - learning to compose using only 4 simultaneous instruments, one of which is noise - fitting the songs, sprites, backgrounds, and game logic into just 256 kilobytes memory space (your average MP3 is 30 times bigger) Many thanks to NEODOLPHINO PRODUCTIONS for believing in this project and making it happen! To Eric the Pirate for the beautiful album artwork and design. To Infinite NES Lives for producing the game boards and catching bugs. To Nuclear Mushroom Boom for helping with the programming. And a big shout out to the whole #homebrew community!
