Four Last Things: A Point-and-Click Renaissance Masterpiece

Overview

Four Last Things is a 2D point-and-click adventure game with a Renaissance theme. It is based on the prototype created for the May 2016 Adventure Jam run by the Game Jolt website and it was then turned into a full game following a Kickstarter crowd funding round.

The game deals with the four last things from the title (Death, Judgement, Heaven and Hell). The protagonist is a man who has committed all seven deadly sins and seeks redemption. However, as he has committed them outside the local church's jurisdiction he is advised to use the loophole of committing them there again so the local priests can absolve him. The game uses a visual style resembling the 16th century paintings of Hieronymus Bosch, but also lots of other contemporary artists. It contains a lot of comedy in the tradition of Monty Python.
