Overview

Credited as the first game produced in the UK for a Commodore machine, Gold Rush was released with a gimmick to try and boost sales for this homegrown title. The first correct solution provided to the publishers would be rewarded with a bag of 22 carat gold! The game consists of a number of 'challenges' revolving around the 1849 Gold Rush in the western states of the USA, all of which are designed to help unlock new areas and delve further into trying to unlock and discover the key word that will see victory and the chance to win that bag of gold (although in the interest of full disclosure, your chances of being able to claim the prize are probably pretty diminished by now...)
