Overview

Dragon is a German language role-playing game for the Commodore 64. It was developed by AWO-Software and published in CPU 1984/06. The game "Dragon" is a a role playing game that is something of a guessing game which, in addition to a cool head, also requires a willingness to take risks and sometimes strong nerves. The game is played with a joystick, but the program can easily be rewritten for the keyboard. The program develops a labyrinth in which the Wyrm is in an unknown position. This can now move around on the screen, whereby the labyrinth is gradually displayed and thus explored. With each step, the score is reduced by 5. The aim of the game is to find a dragon that is hiding somewhere without running into its arms or falling into a pitfall. Dragons and pitfalls are indicated in advance by red items or blue items so that the player can avoid them. The player can kill the dragon by pressing the fire button and then indicating the direction, but only if it is directly in front of the dragon's lair. If the player succeeds, he can be enshrined in the circle of the "Dragon Knights of the Round Table to retire" or face the challenge and shoot a new dragon with increased difficulty and dragons "eaten". more points. However, access to the high score table is only possible when the last dragon successfully killed!
