Magic Castle (Rasmus Wernersson)

Overview

A shooter by Rasmus Wernersson, created using the Shoot'em Up Construction Kit and released in 1992 in 64'er Sonderheft 85. A shoot'em up adventure in the middle ages. In the Dark Ages:Walbur wanders through a surreal landscape. His friends were turned into undead by the evil powers from the magic castle. You must help!

The twilight casts dark shadows. I grope forward with hesitant steps. can i help my friends The old magician Menlir had explained with a sad expression that they had set out through the Barrens to the burial ground in order to reach the magic castle via the caves of blood. There, he murmured with bowed head, the fate of all invaders met her - the eerie walls banished her spirit into the lifeless shell of the undead. "But," he whispered mysteriously to me, eyes glittering, "there's a magic weapon you can use to turn them back." And furtively he handed me a small crossbow: "It doesn't need to be reloaded."

And the wise druid gave me another piece of advice: Collect the mysterious coins by the wayside. They give you life energy. And now I cross quietly, carefully, the dreary fallow land. Always on the lookout for dangerous, wildly scurrying figures - the magic weapon in your hand. Past craggy rocks where aggressive, immortal trolls are up to mischief. Who knows what dangers still await me. Hopefully I can save my friends...
