Overview

Glove on Fight 2: Gleam of Force is the sequel to doujin fighter Glove on Fight. Glove on Fight (2002) was made to test programming routines and mechanics that would eventually be used in Melty Blood. Six years later, Gleam of Force was released, featuring an entirely new cast and story. Gleam of Force uses a 2 button system with a 3rd button for defensive play. Gleam of Force is referred to as a "Boxing game". What this means is that there's no jumping, crouching, or grabbing. With no grabs, the means of breaking through defensive play is the INFIGHT system, where you rush straight into the opponent, momentarily stunning them and allowing you to cancel all of your moves into each other. This INFIGHT system serves as the basis for most neutral interactions, creating a neutral that's heavily reliant on proper spacing and a combo-game that's closer to a Stylish Action Game than a fighting game.
