Overview
APB Reloaded is the free-to-play (F2P) adaption of 2010's APB. APB was bought from its original developer Realtime Worlds by GamersFirst then further developed by their studio Reloaded Productions. APB Reloaded is a competitive MMOG set in a contemporary city, with a strong emphasis on team-based player vs. player (PVP) combat. Two factions, Criminals and Enforcers, battle it out on foot and in vehicles to earn in game currency and gang standing. The game also has extensive customisation systems that allow players to create unique characters, clothes, vehicles and symbols. Being free-to-play, APB Reloaded introduced optional real money transactions that allow players to increase their mission rewards, rent or buy equipment, and gain access to additional assets for customisation purposes. APB Reloaded was initially released digitally in December 2011, including on the Steam free-to-play section. A physical boxed copy is also sold in the US and Europe that contains redeemable codes for in-game items.
