Overview
République, originally designed for mobile devices, is a stealth game set in an unnamed totalitarian state. The main themes are voyeurism, paranoia, censorship, and control. The main game mechanism is a mobile phone. The player does not control anyone directly, but instead helps the main protagonist Hope to escape the facility by using the phone to hop between cameras, tamper with various security devices, lock and unlock doors, provide distractions and so on.
