Dragon Ball Z: Shin Butōden is a 2D fighting game which maintains (unlike PSX's DBZ: Ultimate Battle 22) the classic split-screen mode all 16 bits fighting games based on the Akira Toriyama's most famous series enjoyed, but now you will have the possibility to choose from no less than 27 characters, among them: Super Saiyajin Son Goku, Super Saiyajin Son Goku (3rd level), Son Gohan, Son Goten, Vegeta, Young Trunks, Trunks, Gotenks, Piccolo Diamoah, Kulilin, Tenshinhan, Kamesennin, Zarbon, Recoom, Ginew, Freeza, A-18, A-16, Cell, Kaioushin, Dabura, Majin Buu, Super Buu, Mr. Satan, The Great Saiyaman, Young Son Gokou and Gogeta. Also, you will be able to show your abilities in the Story Mode, Versus Mode, Group Battle Mode, Tournament Mode, or the very Mr. Satan Mode, in which you play as Mr. Satan betting on who will win each match.
