Overview
The dreaded minotaur Asterion fell upon the peaceful town of Hallemot late one balmy night. The few townsfolk he did not kill, he made his slaves. Their misery is his delight. Years have passed. Deep in his underground den, he and his minions exult in the spoils of their wicked deeds. They revel in human suffering. You fled when you were young. You grew strong. The time has come to rid the land of his domain. Cardinal Quest is a turned-based Rogue variant, where the player may choose one out the three available classes: fighter, thief, or wizard; each with different character stats consisting of health, attack, defense, speed, vitality, spirit, and vitality. All three classes are capable of melee attacks, individual skills, and magic spells. The dungeon is filled with monsters and items to loot. Items are pre-identified and are automatically taken and equipped when the player's character moves on the same tile. A short description will notify the player, if the item is better, the same, or worse than pre-existing equipment.
