Overview
1945kIII is a vertical scrolling arcade shooter. Initially developed by Team Muhaha and published by Promot as "Solite Spirits" in 1999. The following year it was picked up by Oriental Software. It was then reworked to more closely resemble Psikyo's "Strikers 1945" series.
High-quality for a bootleg game, but does borrow assets from likely unauthorized sources. The stage designs between Solite Spirits and 1945KIII are different, while many elements remain the same.
Despite the title being a sequel, there is no 1945kI or 1945kII.
In this game the player controls a jet fighter tasked with destroying enemy fighters while traversing stages, taking advantage of additional weapons and earning bonuses. There are several planes to choose from. It is reminiscent of 1980s shooters, and is therefore considered a retro game.
The plot is that jet pilots of allied nations team up to save the Earth.
Runs on conventional 68000 arcade hardware with a PCB that utilizes recycled electronics.
