Overview
Nearly every dirty thug and thief in the city is in some way working for the Kingpin or paying protection money, otherwise they have a habit of ending up dead. One such thug refuses to pay his protection money to one of the Kingpin's lieutenants. For his troubles he is left beaten and bruised in an alley. Kingpin: Life of Crime is a first-person shooter which begins with the player wounded and beaten up by the Kingpin's henchmen, and the story follows his thirst for revenge. Released shortly after the Columbine High School massacre, the game attracted controversy which led it to be dropped from various retailers, despite receiving moderate critical acclaim.
