Lovely Planet is a first person platform shooter in a colorful world. Your goal: Reach the exit of the level by jumping through the world, shooting enemies and apples. The game is split up intro 5 worlds, with each of them introducing some new gameplay element. The basic principle is always the same though: Whenever something happens that shouldn't have happened the level is reset. Reasons for the reset are (amongst others) when you touch or are being hit by an enemy, when you fall off the platforms or when one of those mentioned apples hits the ground. You are equipped with a simple gun with unlimited ammunition that can be used to shoot enemies and objects. The levels also contain several time critical situations, as entering certain areas will trigger events: for example catapults in the distance will throw the apples into the air or small knobs will generate a sphere that has to be left quickly. In practice this feels a bit like trickjumping in games like the Quake series: You will have to run and jump through the level to reach that falling apple in time while at the same time shooting mandatory enemies and blocking obstacles. Be warned however: The game's graphics and presentation are very cute and family friendly, but the gameplay is designed to be very challenging. ----------------------------- With boots of speed on your feet, an infinite supply of bullets for your semi-automatic and the ability to jump over twice your own height, you're well equipped to go up against any enemy on your quest to reach Lovely Planet!
