Overview

American Civil War: Take Command - Second Manassas is a sequel to The History Channel - Civil War: The Battle of Bull Run - Take Command: 1861. Like its predecessor the game is a real-time strategy wargame that uses the American Civil War as its setting. This time the featured battle is the 2nd Manassas Campaign. Included are 20 different scenarios the result of which carry over after battles. Additionally the player can play a number of what-if scenarios revolving around the 2nd Manassas campaign. The game features 8 battlefield maps modeled after historical records from the Library of Congress to play on. There are three game modes, historical, open play and custom. Custom also allows the player to load up user created maps. The game focuses on realistic combat and doesn't include resource gathering or unit production. The player can control up to thousands of units in a single game. All weaponry and equipment is modeled after historical accuracy.
