Bouken Katsugeki Mono Mono

Bouken Katsugeki Mono Mono is a roguelike RPG in the style of Mysterious Dungeon, with a focus on collecting various kinds of items. The main character is a young boy named Gen, a trainee ninja living with his grandfather. His friend Yuki, the daughter of the village chief, has just fallen ill. In order to find the medicine needed to save her, Gen seeks the aid of the mysterious Mono Mono and enters a strange cave near the village, which is said to change its shape every time someone enters.

The focus of the game is on exploring the dungeon to collect various kinds of items, which can be used in and out of battle to assist Gen on his adventure. In addition to more traditional consumable items and equipment, Gen can also acquire costumes that completely change his battle abilities. Combat against monsters is 1-on-1 in a semi-automated side-view action format.
