Emily is Away

Emily is Away is a choose your own adventure style game. The game plays out as a conversation between the player and a girl named Emily. Starting at the end of high school you follow along as they graduate and make their way through college. Each chapter being an evening close to the end of the school year. The choices made during the conversations do affect the outcome of the game, and there are multiple endings.

At the start of the game the player chooses a username and name (this can be randomly generated if the player chooses). At the start of each chapter, the player is able to customize their profile picture selecting from the in-game options. Text color and background can also be changed on the fly. The player makes their choice of conversation by either pressing one of the numbers on the keyboard or clicking the options with their mouse. Once selected, the player needs to mash keys until the response if fully typed out and send it.
