Berzerk

Berzerk is a multidirectional shooter in which the player guides a humanoid through a succession of maze-like rooms populated by hostile robots. The objective is to destroy as many robots as possible, accumulate points, and escape through one of the room’s exits without being killed.

The humanoid can move and fire a laser in eight directions. In the arcade version, firing causes the character to stop briefly while the shot travels in the selected direction. The maze walls are electrified, and contact with a wall, robot, enemy laser, or exploding robot costs one life.
