Overview
Tahiti is a Bally gambling machine from 1979 designed to look like a pinball. A player must achieve a pattern of numbers to win. It is what folks call a ‘bingo” pinball.
It looks like a pinball machine but does not have flippers. Instead the playfield has 20 numbered holes that a ball can fall into. Achieving patterns of numbers allows the player to win free games. This is similar to getting the correct winning patter on a bingo card.
Most regular pinball machines are limited to pay awards or “free games” up to 26 free games. Bingo machines can award up to 999 free games that were generally cashed in under the table for 5 cents a game by the bar tender or store owner.
Since Tahiti is a newer variety machine it can award an amazing 9999 free games. A player increases his odds of wining by dropping more coins into the machine prior to shooting the first ball.
