Equites

Overview

Equites was released in September 1984. In Equites the player controls a jumpjet robot. Lasers are fired to destroy any enemies on the surface, but do not hit any enemies that are airborne or underground. Sometimes the player can open a doorway into a sub-stage which consists of mainly stationary enemies and collectibles. The player has the ability to turn the jumpjet robot will into flying ship to traverse over walls and to take out airborne enemies. The player also has a limited amount of spread attack bombs to hit multiple targets. A life is lost from a single hit. Sub-bosses can be battled along the way. There is no ending to the game, since the player character traverses a continuous number of metres vertically.
