Overview
Final Furlong 2 is a 3D horse-racing simulator arcade game developed and released by Namco in 1998. Running on the advanced Namco System Super 23 hardware, it is the direct sequel to the highly physically demanding 1997 arcade hit Final Furlong.
Players sit astride a life-sized fiberglass horse model and must physically rock back and forth to mimic a jockey, propelling their horse forward.
Pulling back or leaning left and right handles steering and breaking to avoid rails or other jockeys, while a dedicated "Whip" button provides sudden bursts of acceleration.
