Overview
Fortress 2 Blue Arcade is a turn-based artillery strategy game developed in South Korea as an arcade adaptation of the online PC title Fortress 2 Blue. Players command small cartoon-styled tanks in a series of destructible arenas, using precise control of angle and power to lob projectiles at enemy vehicles. Each battle takes place on a single screen, with terrain and weather effects influencing every shot.
Each match proceeds in alternating turns. On a player’s turn, they aim and set power for their shot, taking wind and elevation into account. Successful hits damage opponents or reshape the landscape, potentially limiting future shots.
Players select from a roster of tanks such as Catapult, Crossbow, Carrot, Duke, and Mine Lander, each with unique attack types and special effects like fire, poison, or homing missiles. Items collected during play can heal, shield, immobilize, or disrupt enemy units. Environmental factors such as snow, fog, tornadoes, and earthquakes randomly alter the field, demanding constant adjustment.
The arcade version supports both single-player and two-player matches and introduces a Sudden Death timer (1–2.5 minutes). If time expires, the match enters a chaotic final phase until one side is eliminated.
